DAY 1:Morning departure from your hotel and
drive through Eleusis till the Canal of Corinth. This famous Canal
connects the Saronic Gulf with the Corinthian’s Gulf, and there, you
will have the possibility to take some pictures from the bridge that
connects Mainland Greece with the Peloponnese. Continuing to Mycenae
we will visit the famous Palace, the well-known Lions Gate and the
Tomb of King Agarnemnon.
Proceed to Nafplion, a beautiful town on the seaside and then on to
Epidaurus, in order to visit the Ancient Theatre famous all over the
world for its perfect acoustics. Overnight in Nafplion. |

DAY 2: Departure from the hotel in the morning and drive through
the central Peloponnese passing the cities of Tripoli, Megalopoli, to
Olympia.
Arrive in Olympia, the home of Olympic Games; we will visit the
Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the museum and the first Olympic stadium
ever made (this stadium is the model for all the other in the world). Overnight in Olympia.
DAY 3: Departure from Olympia in the
morning via Patras to Rion-Antirion, and driving through the
picturesque small Venetian town of Nafpaktos (Lepanto), arrive in
Delphi, the "Omphalos" (Navel) of the Ancient world, for visiting the
archaeological site. Overnight in Delphi or Arachova.
DAY 4: In the morning we will visit the museum of Delphi with
the famous bronze Charioteer, the statue of Antinoos and the athlete
Aghias, and we will depart for Kalambaka driving through the city
of Lamia and passing by numerous picturesque villages and small towns
of Central Greece. Overnight in Kalambaka.
DAY 5: Visit of the well-known Meteora with its Byzantine
Monasteries constructed on top of huge rocks which seem to be
suspended in mid-air. In the afternoon return to Athens via Trikala,
Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonida's Monument) and Kammena Vourla.
Arrive in
Athens in the evening. |
